A lot of golf enthusiasts which have been to major places within the country want to go play outside the US. There are several good places outside of USA which have great golf courses as well as are great cities to visit.
Europe is one such destination there is abundance of golf courses. There are so many countries within Europe where you can just and enjoy the golf courses. England being the premier destination where you can enjoy the golf vacations. In fact England is one such place where you can also go in the winter.
Ireland and Scotland are also great places for the golf course. They consider St. Andrews as the place where golf originated. In fact it is considered as the Mecca of the golf enthusiasts. The fact is that England as well as Ireland also have such great ancient history that while on golf you can enjoy the beautiful palaces and the abundant greens alongside.
England is very rich in cultural heritage and having a golf vacation is the best way as you can combine golf with sight seeing. This is a great place if you have the family also going along with you because if you play golf they can enjoy the country side.
This is true of a lot of places in Europe and the next best bet is Spain. Costa Del Sol is the best place to play the golf on very good golf courses and you can also enjoy the rich heritage of Spain. Spain also offers proximity to a lot of other nations so you might also want to add those countries to your itinerary.
Before venturing into playing golf in the golf course make sure that you have reservation for the golf courses in advance as well as you have the tee times reserved for you. In the peak season it will be tough for you to get any sort of tee time. Even if you reach there early morning and want to tee off the day I am afraid there will usually be no slot available.
The other way is that you can go to local golf clubs in a lot of place and play there but then your whole trip from the US to Europe will be a big waste. That is why always reserve before embarking on a vacation or you can entrust this whole job to a tour operator and they will take care of everything. |
